Frazeluta and Balti bakery to return 9,000 tonnes of wheat to state

Bread maker Frazeluta SA and the Balti-based bakery will have to return 9,000 tonnes of wheat to the state. The wheat was offered to the two companies from the humanitarian aid provided to Moldova, under a secret 2008 government decision.

“The decision oughtn't be secret as it is a matter of market competition,” Minister of State Victor Bodiu told the reporters on Wednesday. He said that under an ordinance issued by Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the two economic entities will have to return the wheat into the state reserve. Victor Bodiu said they will also examine other secret decisions taken by the previous government to see if they comply with the law on the state secret.
