Coca Cola HBC will relocate its production lines from Iasi to Moldova and those from Floreni in Suceava county to a neighboring unit in Poiana Negri, the company was quoted by Mediafax.
Following the periodical activity and infrastructure developments and given that the factory in Iasi produces drinks mainly for Moldova, the company decided to move its production equipment from Iasi to Moldova. “The storehouse in Iasi will be transformed into distribution center, while our sales, financial, marketing and human resources divisions will continue their work in Iasi,” representatives of the company said. They also said that the production lines from Floreni will be transferred to the factory in Poiana Negri, which was outfitted and prepared for this.
The 75 employees affected by the changes will be offered the vacancies available in the company, while the 32 persons working at the storehouse can apply for new jobs at the distribution center. "At the end of the 60-day period, all the affected employees will receive compensations to the value of seven to ten salaries, larger than required by the law. The relocated lines will become functional in November 2009. All the supplies and services will be provided as usual,” the company says in a communiqué.
