MSE monthly sales on the wane

July sales on the Moldova Stock Exchange constituted 4.75 million lei, in contrast to 6.68 million lei in the previous month and 67 million lei in July 2008, Rating Agency Estimator VM informs.

The total number of operations on the Moldovan bourse was 121, of which 85 represented interactive transactions. 34 types of stocks traded on all the segments of the bourse, by 6 less than in June. The market capitalization as computed by Estimator-VM stood at 14.668 billion lei by the end of July, a 464 million lei decrement on the previous month. The rankings of the most valuable shares in July are headed by 2 banks stocks.

Interactive transactions were valued at 811,000 lei, as opposed to 4 million lei in the previous month. The largest sales were done with the shares of the poultry company “Avicola-Corlateni” (approx. 532,000 lei), which represented 66 percent of the total. The most liq uid shares in terms of number of transactions were those of “Constructia-Modern” (31 transactions) followed by “JLC-Invest” (29 transactions).

The turnover on the outcry auctions segment constituted 918,000, as opposed to 2.36 million lei in June.
