Moldova ICT Summit: communication platform for businessmen interested in ICT

The prospects of developing Moldova as IT producer will be the main subject discussed at the Moldova ICT Summit 2010, which will take place in Chisinau between March 30 and 31. The summit will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology,  reports a communique from the organizers. 

The summit participants will explore the possibilities of developing the country with the aid of information technology and making it one of the most professional IT producers. “Our country is one of the most important players in the ICT market even if it is yet only an almost invisible outsourcer whose services are used by renowned companies,” said ICT Minister Alexandru Oleinic. 

The Moldova Summit ICT is a unique occasion for showing Moldova's possibilities in the area. “This summit is aimed at promoting the ICT sector, which can stimulate economic development,” said the head of the Association of Private ICT Companies of Moldova Veaceslav Cunev. 

The summit will center on the following subjects: ICT4Business – a business communication platform for the Moldovan and foreign ICT companies interested in the domestic market; and Development4ICT – a platform for directors general of Moldovan ICT companies and other players in the ICT market, including the authorities, clients and foreign partners. 

ICT specialists from Moldova and abroad will take part in the summit, including Robert Farish, IDC Vice Prescient and Regional Managing Director for Russia and CIS Countries, Tomislav Bronzin, USAID RCI Innovation Center senior adviser, and Erik Mandre, managing director of the Estonian Organization for Copyright Protection.
